31.Jänner 2007, 6.40, 5° Celsius, bewölkt: Abflug von Linz-Hörsching über Palma de Mallorca nach Valencia!
31.Jänner 2007, 15.00, 20° Celsius, strahlender Sonnenschein: Unser erster Gedanke: "Vamos a la playa!"
Nach erfolgreicher Suche einer Jugendherberge erste Erkundungen der valenzianischen Altstadt.
Am 2.Tag machten wir uns erstmal auf den Weg zur Uni: la Universidad politecnica de Valencia.Ein Riesencampus, der alle österreichischen Dimensionen bei weitem übertrifft. Neben den bei uns bekannten Fakultätsgebäuden riesige Grünanlagen mit Palmen, eine Unmenge von Sportplätzen, Tennisplätzen, Cafes, Mensen (Mensa-Menü inkl. Bier :-), Fitnessstudios, Schwimmhallen usw.
Nach 2 Tagen in unserer 1.Hostel (in der wir auch täglich in ein anderes Zimmer wechseln mussten, da wir natürlich nichts vorreserviert hatten), Wechsel in eine andere Herberge, da die alte am Wochenende ausgebucht war.Das Zimmer unserer neuen Jugendherberge war dafür mit Balkon inkl. Innenstadtblick ausgestattet und ziemlich neu, einziges Problem: Es gab kein Warmwasser.
(Anm: Da Andi unser Warmduscher is fast gestorben ;-)
Da wir von Bekannten schon einen Geheimtipp für eine preiswerte Super-Wohnung mit Strandblick usw. erhalten haben, beschränkte sich unsere Wohnungssuche die ersten Tage nur auf amüsiertes Betrachten der Anzeigen.
Die erhoffte Wohnung entpuppte sich jedoch am Besichtigungstag als zwar schön und groß, aber für unsere Budgets als viel zu teuer!!
Aus Frust darüber beschlossen wir, erstmal, bei ein (2,3 ;-) Bier Krisensitzung zu halten und das weitere Vorgehn zu besprechen.
Ein "Sackerl fürs Gackerl" hams in Valencia leider noch nicht eingeführt, was passiert, wenn man Karte liest und nicht auf den Boden schaut, sieht man am linken Bild! :-)
